We aim to share our journey of land conservation and habitat restoration through community connections.
About
We acquired our land along the Chehalis River in December 2020 as a vacant prairie devoid of trees and shrubs and overtaken in sections by invasive species. We immediately began planting native species and working to remove the invasives. To date, we have planted over 1000 plants throughout the property, uncovered wetlands previously choked out by invasive grasses, and have established a large garden utilizing regenerative and organic agricultural practices. In 2022, we began harvesting our garden bounty to sell at Saturday morning pop-ups in the front yard of our Seattle home. The proceeds from these sales go directly back into the funding of the restoration work.
